What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a naturally induced state of deep relaxation and focused attention. We often go in out of this natural state of mind many times during the day, such as when engrossed in a good book or television programme, whilst day dreaming or before we drift off to sleep at night.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is used once you are in a deep state of relaxation, your subconscious mind comes to the forefront and the critical part of your mind can be bypassed allowing positive changes to be made. Hypnotherapy is natural and safe and can be used to treat a wide range of different issues, such as stop smoking, weight loss, anxiety, fears and much more.

Can anyone be Hypnotised ?

Yes anyone can be Hypnotised provided that they want to be- as long as you are willing to go into trance then it can work for you.
Will I remain in control during Hypnosis?

Yes you will remain in control whilst in hypnosis, a hypnotherapist role is to guide you to make positive changes, you can’t be made to do anything you do not want to. During Hypnosis you can share as much or as little information as you desire and you will be alert, aware of your surroundings and in control at all times.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions can vary - for a simple issue such as stop smoking only 1 session is needed, other issue’s usually require more than 1 session. It’s best to budget for around 4 sessions however it may take more or less than this, we can discuss this in more detail during your free 30 minute consultation.

How frequently will I need to come for treatment?

I recommend that you come weekly to start with and after a few sessions the frequency may be adjusted so that you can leave more time between sessions.

How long does a Hypnotherapy session last?

Stop smoking sessions last up to 90 minutes, all other sessions last up to 60 minutes. The sessions can vary and may run over from time to time depending on what we are working on during the session. It’s best to take this into consideration and give yourself plenty of time.
