About Me
My Name is Gemma King I currently hold qualifications as a Master Hypnotist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner, in recognition of these achievements I’m allowed to use the following letters after my name D.M.H D.Hyp.CPNLP.
It is important that when you come for hypnosis that you feel relaxed and at ease with me as your therapist, I will therefore share with you a little bit about myself and how I first became interested in hypnosis.
Prior to training as a hypnotherapist, I worked in early years care, ranging from managing a team to assessing students in achieving their qualifications. This has helped me develop an excellent understanding of everyday stresses and strains from lack of confidence, fear of speaking out in groups, phobias, fears, personal and relationship issues and more. I therefore believe I have developed the ability to listen carefully and support people effectively in overcoming their difficulties.
My experience with hypnotherapy reaches back to 2002 when I was experiencing a difficult time due to blushing and a lack of confidence. Initially I was a bit dubious but attended sessions with a clinical hypnotherapist and was pleasantly surprised at how much my thoughts and behaviour changed, I’m now free from blushing and have all the confidence I could ever need and more.
Once I realised that it had worked for me, my interest for learning about hypnosis grew from there. I realised how many benefits it can create in many different areas of life, at this point I decided to study Clinical hypnotherapy so that I could do this professionally and work with other people to help them improve their lives too.
